CARTI Foundation to Host First-Ever Tour de Spin, Indoor Cycling Event
The CARTI Foundation is thrilled to announce its first-ever Tour de Spin, an indoor cycling event that will raise funds to support cancer patients across Arkansas. The four hour spin session will take place simultaneously at three of central Arkansas’ best spin studios – The Little Rock Athletic Club, Little Rock Racquet Club and the North Little Rock Athletic Club. Central Arkansas’ top spin instructors will lead the four sessions which can be done as one-hour sessions for individuals or as a four hour relay cycle to be done by a team. Tour de Spin will take place on Saturday, March 7 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
“We are thrilled to build on the momentum of our annual Tour de Rock fundraiser and launch Tour de Spin,” said Jennifer Selig, executive vice president of the CARTI Foundation. “ From hard core spin junkies to outdoor cycling fanatics, we invite anyone to join us for this high-energy event that will benefit CARTI’s patient support services, including housing, transportation, emotional, nutritional and financial counseling.”
Tour de Spin is part of Tour de Rock, one of Arkansas’ largest cycling events and considered to be the fastest Century Ride in the South. Tour de Rock will be held on May 30 and will attract cyclists from all over the southern region. Riders can choose from one of four pancake-flat routes – 25-, 50-, 62- and 100-miles – that wind through central Arkansas. This year’s route will begin and end at the intersection of Riverfront Drive and Brother Paul Drive in North Little Rock. The ride will be followed by an After Party at Heifer International Pavilion featuring music, great food and a beer garden. Registration is open now at Tour de Rock.
